Orma 2016

The colour is deep ruby. On the nose blackberries, blueberries, plum. In the mouth well integrated tannins, concentrated, powerful. The aftertaste is pretty long.

Orma Toscana IGT is the name of the first wine produced by the estate of the same name. It is made from 50% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Cabernet Franc grapes in Castagneto Carducci (Bolgheri) since 2005.

Orma winery is owned by Moretti Cuseri, a wine producing family dedicated to Bordeaux blends in Tuscany, today in its third generation. Their enthusiasm for Bordeaux blends began at the historic family estate Tenuta Sette Ponti in Castiglion Fibocchi with Oreno.

The family also owns Poggio al Lupo in Maremma (Tuscany), along with Feudo Maccari and ANIMAETNEA in Sicily.

I received this bottle as a gift from a friend. Online it sells for some 60 CHF.
