Aroma of tobacco, nuts and black cherry, with balsamic notes. Very subtle, both on the nose and in the mouth, where the wine is very fresh, elegant and refined from the beginning to the end. The silky tannins leave your mouth with a clear sensation of having cleaned it. Continue reading “Roagna Barbaresco Pajè 2010”

Costamagna 2013
It reminds me of a Mon Chéri, the famous single-wrapped chocolate, consisting of a “heart” of cherry floating in a liqueur and contained in a bittersweet chocolate shell.
In fact, although in a fairly discrete way, the 14.5% alcohol reveals itself from the first sniff, giving a sensation of fruits under spirit. The time spent in the barrique adds a clear chocolate flavour. Continue reading “Costamagna 2013”
Fatagione 2011
As the grape name let you guess, this Nerello Mascalese presents itself with a very dark color.

Gaudium Magnum 2011
25 December 2017
The trademark cherry aroma of the Barbera grape shows up in the underground and is not overpowered neither by the high alcohol content (15.5%) nor by the almost three years in barrel.
In the mouth less powerful than you would expect. More a sign of a well made wine than a lack of anything. Continue reading “Gaudium Magnum 2011”
Clos Triguedina 2013

This traditional Cahors, is a blend of Malbec (85%), Merlot (13%) and Tannat (2%).
