The colour is medium gold, with a fine perlage. On the nose at first very subtle. When it opens, scents of bread crust, pastry and vanilla appears. In the mouth vibrant bubbles. The aftertaste is medium long.
A tribute to the statesman and Pol-Roger fan Winston Churchill, this champagne is only produced in the best vintages and presents itself after almost 10 years of maturation.
Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill is composed exclusively of grapes sourced from Grands Crus Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vineyards, which were already under vine during Churchill’s lifetime. The exact composition of the cuvée is a secret strictly guarded by the members of the family.
The Champagne House was founded in 1849. Sir Winston Churchill got to know and to love the champagne Pol Roger in Paris in 1908. To this day, the Maison is family-owned and one of the smaller champagne houses.
