The colour is medium gold, with fine but very few bubbles. On the nose ginger, lemon, apples, peaches. In the mouth rich, with a rather long aftertaste.
This Cava is made by Juvé & Camps with a blend of 55% Xarel·lo, 35% Macabeo and 10% Parellada grapes. This sparkling wine spent 36 months sur lie.
The history of the winery can be dates back to 1796, the year in which Joan Juvé Mir laid the foundations of today’s company by starting to cultivate wine-grapes. In 1921, his nephew Antoni Juvé Escaiola, supported by his wife Teresa Camps Ferrer, inaugurated the underground facilities of the winery and produced the first sparkling wine of the Juvé brand.
The first bottle of Gran Reserva Brut Nature was made in 1972. In 1976, the Cava Reserva de la Familia came to the fore. Initially intended for the exclusive consumption of the Juvé family, it has become the best-selling Cava Gran Reserva Brut Nature in the world.
