The colour is medium salmon, with very fine, medium-lasting bubbles. On the nose strawberries and raspberries. In the mouth elegant and well balanced. Very smooth. The aftertaste is medium long.
This prestigious champagne is made by Laurent-Perrier with 100% Pinot Noir grapes. It is a Brut with 9g of sugar per litre.
The base wines come from ten of the best vineyards in Champagne, in particular Ambonnay, Bouzy, Louvois and Tours-sur-Marne. All are classified as Grand Crus. In contrast to most rosé champagnes, this one is obtained by so-called tapping and not by blending red and white wines. The maturation period is at least four years, and disgorging is done by hand.
Laurent-Perrier is a Champagne house founded in 1812. In 1939, it was sold to the de Nonancourt family, which still retains majority ownership of the company. Nowadays, it is the main company of the Laurent-Perrier Group, the second largest champagne producer, whose other flagship brands include the houses of Salon, De Castellane and Delamotte.
