Le Black Label Brut

The colour is medium gold, with fine, long lasting bubbles. On the nose pastry and bread crust. In the mouth refreshing, with a citrusy flavour. The aftertaste is fairly long.

Le Black Label Brut is a blend of 51% Pinot Noir, 36% Chardonnay and 13% Meunier grapes.

This bottle was made in 2017, with 45% of reserve wines:

  • 19% from the 2008/2010/2012/2013/2014/2015/2016 aged in stainless-steel
  • 21% from the perpetual reserve wines aged in stainless-steel
  • 5% from the perpetual reserve wines aged in barrels.

The grapes were sourced from 95 Crus, of which 50 were Grand and Premier Crus. Dégorgement was made in June 2022. In that occasion, 8g of sugar per litre was added.

Le Black Label Brut is made by Maison Lanson. Founded in 1760, Maison Lanson is one of the oldest Champagne Houses.
