The colour is light straw. On the nose grapefruit, melon, mango, green pepper. In the mouth fresh and savoury. The aftertaste last for a long time.
This Sauvignon Blanc is produced by Cantina Bolzano/Kellerei Bozen under the Südtirol/Alto Adige DOC.
Sauvignon Blanc is a white wine grape variety originally from western France. Both Bordeaux and the Loire claim to be the grape’s homeland. Sancerre and Pouilly in the Loire Valley are home to some of the top Sauvignon Blanc in the world. It is relatively rare to find Bordeaux white wines that are 100% Sauvignon Blanc. In the majority of cases, the white wines of Bordeaux are produced from blends of Sauvignon and Semillon (sometimes with a little Muscadelle).
I usually tend to avoid Sauvignon Blanc wines due to their often pronounced acidity, which tends to irritate my teeth. I was positively impressed by this exemplar, which I find very pleasant.
