Amarone Riserva Quintarelli 2003

The colour is deep garnet. On the nose liquorice, tea leaves, black cherries, plumbs, chocolate. In the mouth filling, with a solid structure. Dense and concentrated. The aftertaste is very long.

Amarone Riserva Quintarelli is a blend of 55% Corvina, Croatina, Rondinella and Nebbiolo, 30% Sangiovese and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. After manual harvests, the grapes were placed on wooden crates in a well-aerated room. Continue reading “Amarone Riserva Quintarelli 2003”

Marsala Vergine “Baglio” Florio 2003

The colour is medium gold. On the nose dry fruits under spirit, toasted hazelnuts and honey. In the mouth smooth, dry and tasty. The aftertaste is slightly bitter and last for quite a while.

Dom Pérignon 2003, 2006 and Rosé 2000

Elegant and very fine bubbles. A bit simple and light on the nose, but they improve over time.

Every one with his own peculiarities, but all three similar in their freshness and minerality. Crispy on the palate. 2003 with more body than the 2006. All a bit disappointing in the final. Overall I like the Rosé 2000 the best. Continue reading “Dom Pérignon 2003, 2006 and Rosé 2000”
