The colour is deep ruby. On the nose, aroma of ripe amarena, blueberries and plums. In the mouth, bitter and astringent, a remarkable contrast to the intensely fruity nose. The aftertaste is rather short.

The colour is pale gold. On the nose pineapple, apricot, golden apple, and some banana. In the mouth well balanced, smooth, with a tasty finish that last for a satisfying while.

Another simple and fruity wine, like most I have been drinking during my wandering on the Via Francigena in Lombardy and Emilia. Wines that are better drunk than talked about. Mostly cheap, but nevertheless enjoyable. Like this Buttafuoco dell’Oltrepò Pavese DOC that I bought at a Supermarket for 3.99 EUR. The colour is medium garnet. On the nose herbal notes, such as oregano and anise, and a hint of strawberries. In the mouth at first gripping tannins that leave the mouth dry and with a bitter finish. With some air the wine becomes smoother and more savoury. No aftertaste worth mentioning.

The colour is deep purple. On the nose prunes and over-ripe blackberries, combined with wood and a hint of tobacco. In the mouth smooth, with drying fruity finish. The aftertaste is medium long.

The colour is medium straw. On the nose peach, citrus, and tropical fruits. In the mouth fresh, but also rich and well balance. The aftertaste is pleasant and last for quite a while.

The colour is medium straw. On the nose white flowers, green apple and some almond. In the mouth mineral and fresh, with a citrusy finish that last for quite a while. Overall a very elegant and pleasant wine.

The colour is medium straw. On the nose melon, pear and almond. In the mouth velvety, with a pleasantly slightly bitter finish. Very enjoyable, with a medium long aftertaste.
