Cirò Tenuta Iuzzolini 2021

The colour is medium ruby. On the nose tea and sour cherries. In the mouth light but smooth. The aftertaste is short.

This wine is made mainly with Gaglioppo grapes, under the denomination Cirò DOC of Calabria.

Dabuki Feldstein 2021

The colour is pale straw. On the nose citrusy and nutty notes. In the mouth mineral, with a taste of apples and peanuts. The aftertaste is rather short.

Researchers have identified more than 120 grapes indigenous to the geographical area around the Holy Land. These include Biblical era white varieties like Marawi (a.k.a. Hamdani), Jandali and Dabouki, red grapes like Baladi Asmar and Bittuni, and more modern crosses like Argaman (a cross between Carignan and the Portuguese grape Souzao). Frontón de Oro Albillo 2021

The colour is pale yellow. On the nose notes of citrus and white flowers. In the mouth medium bodied, well balanced, and pleasant. Unfortunately, the aftertaste is rather short.

This white wine is made under the Gran Canaria Denominación de Origen. This designation’s Canarian wines are produced throughout the whole island. Resi 2021

The colour is pale straw. On the nose citrus, green apple, resin. In the mouth light, fresh and mineral. The aftertaste is rather short.

The Rèze is an ancient indigenous grape of Valais that has become a rarity. It is considered a par excellence high-Alpine grape variety. Around 1920, almost all vineyards of Valais fell victim to the American phylloxera pest. Prior to the phylloxera pandemic, Rèze was very common. The colour is (very) pale straw. On the nose aromas of green apples, white grapes, almond milk and rice pudding. In the mouth soft, with a taste of pears and bananas. The aftertaste has a slight bitterness and is long.

Attems Pinot Grigio 2021

The colour is pale gold. On the nose white melon, peach and apricot. In the mouth smooth, mineral and savoury. The aftertaste is pleasant and medium long.

This Pinot Grigio is made by Attems under the region-wide Friuli DOC, according to which the wine must be made with a minimum of 85% Pinot Bianco grapes. The rest can be any OANWG (allowable non-aromatic white grapes). Continue reading “Attems Pinot Grigio 2021”

Natureo 0,0 Red 2021

The colour is medium purple. On the nose artificial cranberry. In the mouth artificial red fruits kind of flavours. The aftertaste is very short (fortunately).

Overall, a horrible experience!

Compleo Cuvée Noire 2021

The colour is medium garnet. On the nose black cherries and raspberries. In the mouth soft, sweet and fruity. The aftertaste is very inviting and last for some time.

This wine is made by Staatskellerei Zürich under the Vin de Pays Suisse denomination. It is a blend of 60% Pinot Noir, 36% Gamaret and 4% Syrah.

Pascal Henriot Pinot Noir 2021

The colour is (very) pale ruby. On the nose at first mainly acetone, which with some air fades, but doesn’t disappear (unfortunately). In the mouth acidic. The aftertaste doesn’t last long (fortunately).
