The colour is light garnet. On the nose very delicate, with a bouquet leaning towards mint, spices and wood. In the mouth very elegant and subtle, with light but firm tannins. The aftertaste is fruity and medium long.

The colour is medium garnet. On the nose mushrooms, cherries and stewed plums. In the mouth good acidity, but not much else. The aftertaste is rather short.

The colour is medium gold. On the nose golden apple, pineapple, papaya, and butter. In the mouth elegant and tasty, with a citrusy aftertaste that fades fairly quickly.
This Chardonnay is produced by Louis Jadot. A Maison founded in 1859 by the man whose name it bears, Louis Henry Denis Jadot, whose family arrived in Beaune from Belgium in 1794. The colour is pale ruby/garnet. On the nose mushrooms, eucalyptus and pepper. In the mouth elegant, with some strawberries flavour. The aftertaste is discreet, but medium long.

The colour is medium garnet and a bit cloudy. On the nose sour cherries and some earthy notes. In the mouth fresh and at first a bit prickly. The finish is abrupt, but later some fruity flavours come back and stay for a little.

Seductive and sophisticated bouquet of forest floor, earth, eucalyptus, mushrooms and some strawberries. Overall a very nice aromatic complexity. (On a bit less poetic tone: at first it did remind me of cola.)

At first no much sensations, neither on the nose nor in the mouth. After some time it opens up and delivers some strawberries notes.

This Morgon (one of the ten Cru of Beaujolais) is a very elegant, smooth and balanced wine, made with Gamay grapes. Still pretty fruity (raspberry) and fresh despite the age. Continue reading “Les Corcelettes 2007”
