Herbicus 2021

The colour is deep ruby. On the nose cardamom, cumin, menthol, dried prunes and sour cherries. In the mouth a good balance between the structure of the tannin and the freshness. The aftertaste is medium long.

Poggio del Cardinale 2019

The colour is pale gold. On the nose pineapple, apricot, golden apple, and some banana. In the mouth well balanced, smooth, with a tasty finish that last for a satisfying while.

Didn’t know this kind of grape existed till I visited Frascati a few months ago and discovered that it is an autoctone variety from Lazio. This one is a IGT, but there is also a Cesanese del Piglio DOCG (also from Lazio).
