Intense golden color. Rich nose, with a predominance of mango and apricot aromas, complemented by some pineapple and crème brûlée.

Sassicaia 2010

On the nose smell of barnyard and dairy products, at first. With time some more pleasant undergrowth notes appear. In the mouth not much beside astringency, thin and absolutely disappointing.

Almaviva 2011

Prevailing herbaceous aroma, with eucalipto’s notes. Even thought at 15% the alcohol content is certainly high, on the nose it get almost unnoticed. Hennessy Paradis

This is one of the outstanding examples of the noble spirit made northeast of Bordeaux.

Cognac is produced through a double distillation of a very basic wine made mainly with the white grape Ugni Blanc. The wine itself is low in alcohol, high in acidity and not really drinkable. Continue reading “Hennessy Paradis”
